THERAPY AGREEMENT

Therapy contract

1. Duration and Content of the Service

Therapy can be arranged for a specific number of sessions or individuals may attend single appointments. During therapy, issues or life challenges brought by the client/clients themselves are addressed.

The therapy is based on integrative psychotherapy approaches, utilizing its methods. The aim of therapy, in collaboration with the therapist, is to explore and structure how the client experiences and interprets events, situations, and themselves in their mind.

The goal of therapy is to increase the client's understanding of themselves and their life, as well as to discover new coping mechanisms for their life. Therapy goals are defined together with the client, and their achievement is monitored as therapy progresses.

Therapy is not a healthcare service and is not eligible for reimbursement from Kela.

2. Confidentiality Obligation

Therapy is confidential and based on confidentiality obligations. The therapist will not disclose information about the client to third parties without the client's consent.

The therapist is bound to confidentiality, but if the client poses a risk of self-harm or harm to others, the therapist is obligated to report it.

The therapist ensures that client-related notes or other records are not accessible to outsiders. If someone external (e.g., a family member) contacts the therapist, the therapist informs the client.

Notes on clients who attend sessions are recorded in a notebook kept in a locked cabinet.

At the end of their work, the client may request materials written about them. Otherwise, the material will be destroyed immediately upon the client's request or kept for 6 months if the client wishes to resume their work.

Appointments are scheduled using the Wix scheduling system, where the client provides their phone number, address, name, and reason for visit.

3. Supervision of work

In supervision related to their therapy work, the therapist may discuss therapy-related matters without revealing the client's identity.

4. Appointment Cancellations and Fees

Appointments must be cancelled 24 hours before the scheduled time. Otherwise, a charge according to the price list will apply. The full fee will also be charged for missed appointments. Cancellation without charge is possible with a medical certificate.

Payments are made using a payment link sent by the therapist.
